All visitors are most welcome at Woodsome Hall Golf Club. We ask that our dress code is observed both on and off the golf course.
On the Golf Course
Correct golf attire must be worn at all times. Tee shirts, jeans and trainers are not permitted at any time. Gentlemen's golf shirts must have collar and sleeves and be tucked in at all times. Trousers and knee length shorts must be tailored and free of external pockets or patches. Shorts must be worn with knee length socks or predominantly white ankle or trainer socks. Peak caps are acceptable, but must be worn with the peak at the front. These must however be removed before entering the clubhouse.
In the Clubhouse
Jacket and tie must be worn at all times in the formal bar and the “smoke” room. The only exception to the above rule is on Fridays after 5.00 pm.
Smart/casual dress may be worn at all times in the Dartmouth room, the Dining Room, the Committee room, the Hallas room, the 19th/spike bar and the snooker room. This rule also applies to the main bar and smoke room but only after 5.00 pm on Fridays.
Golf clothing may be worn at all times in the Dartmouth room and also, in the 19th/spike bar (where clean golf shoes may be worn).
Please note that the wearing of waterproof clothing and soiled golf wear is not acceptable in any clubhouse room. This also applies to collarless shirts, denim clothing, trainers and any form of headgear.
Visiting parties and guests are asked to respect our dress code. Anyone contravening the code will be asked to comply or leave the club.
Ladies are asked to dress with a level of formality commensurate with the code for gentlemen
The use of Mobile telephones for voice calls is not allowed in the clubhouse building. Please do not stand in doorways or car parks whilst making voice calls. Checking diaries, emails and texts are considered acceptable in the clubhouse.
If mobile telephones are taken on the course, they must be switched off or be in “silent mode" and only used for voice calls in a medical emergency.
