Captain's Welcome

It is my pleasure as Captain to welcome you to Woodsome Hall Golf Club, a picturesque parkland course with breath-taking views, located in South Huddersfield, just off the A629. 2022 saw many celebrations at the Club fas we marked 100 years as a Golf Club.
Woodsome Hall is a Harry Colt designed Golf Course established in 1922 and redesigned by James Braid in 1929. which was described as a “gem” by the late Peter Alliss. Being 6,141 yards off the white tees, Par 70 with a Standard Scratch 71, our golf course provides an excellent test of golf for all abilities. We have one of the longest Par 4’s in Yorkshire, the 8th standing at 464 yards, however not all are as challenging!
If you are seeking an overnight stay our 8 twin bedded rooms in our fabulous Dormy House offers top class accommodation, this is a perfect location to have that golfing break with friends or colleagues.
Our unique 16th listed Century Clubhouse which is available for private functions, is well worth a visit in its own right with the Dining Room and Courtyard being particularly spectacular.
Woodsome Hall Golf Club has remained loyal to long established traditions and standards, which we believe sets us apart from many other golf clubs. Our visitors seem to like what we have on offer here are just a few of the many comments
“On a par if not better than some of the more famous golfing venues around the world”

“A fantastic venue, warm welcome club house, food & service top notch”
“Fabulous accommodation, lovely parkland course, dinner first class”
“The breakfast and dinner were the best we can remember”

When you take the overall Woodsome experience of golf course, practice facilities, historic clubhouse, on-site accommodation & excellent cuisine, I believe we have something special which makes it hard to find many places better.
